Low Cost Spay and Neuter FAQs
How do I sign up?
To get on our waiting list, please email pair.clallam@gmail.com with your full name, phone number, and animal information including if it is a dog or cat, breed, its weight, age and sex.
Where is the clinic being held?
The location changes quite regularly, as we are using space that is donated by members of the community when it is readily available. The addresses for each clinic are advertised as early as we can- usually before we begin officially registering for that event.
I’ve been on the list, I have been told I need to register for the event, how do I do that?
Registering for the event with our platform Clinic HQ, is required. This allows us to easily streamline what services you will be getting with us, as well as track animals, clients, surgeries, and consent forms.
When we have space for your pet, you will be contacted by our coordinator, who will provide you with the registration link!
My pet's surgery is tomorrow! What do I do?
The Pet-
No food after midnight on Saturday!
Dogs need to be on a leash!
Cat must be in a carrier! The carrier needs to be well secured, with a towel in it. It also needs to be labeled with your name, phone number and the pets name.
DO NOT put food or water inside the carrier!
Day of the Event-
Payment happens when your cat gets picked up, in case any surprises occur in surgery, the cat has fleas/ worms or any other thing that could alter the price. We will confirm the cost with you over the phone when we are letting you know that the kitty is ready to go home. (See bottom of post for pricing).
Check in times vary slightly, but are commonly 8am-8:45am.
Please bring your cat in at time of check in- they need to be in the carrier, your cat will be approved for surgery after our vet tech does an initial exam. At that time, we get your pet comfortable for surgery, and you can leave.
We will call you when your pet is ready to go home from recovery, we ask that you are available to come pick up your pet when called.
PRICING
Cats
Neuters: $60
Spay: $125
For clarification because it isn't always common knowledge, boys get neutered and girls get spayed.
We are also offering vaccines and microchips for the animals that we alter on that day- those costs are as follows:
Rabies Vaccine: $10
FVRCP/FELV Vaccine $25
Wormers and Flea treatments are also available, however the cost varies based on the size of the cat- so please ask about this upon check in. If the pet clearly has fleas or worms, we will need to treat them and that will be added to the final cost of the services.
If you are low income, we are able to subsidize 50% of the surgery, not any of the vaccines or treatments- To do this we would give you a financial hardship application, and we need proof of low income with information regarding SSI, SSDI, SNAP, public housing, unemployment or state assistance/ TANF. We do not copy any of that information down, we just need to see it at check in for verification.

Support Low-Cost Spay and Neuter
So many families in Washington can’t afford to pay $400-$1600 to spay or neuter their pets. The results are overpopulation, homeless cats and dogs, and euthanasia.
PAIR runs sterilization clinics where low-income families pay as little as $60 to fix their pet. Donations from animal lovers like you allow us to offer this vital service.
Adopt a Cat or Dog
We always have homeless cats and dogs available for adoption. And often we have kittens and puppies. To begin the application process, fill out our cat application form below, or contact us!
Support Mobile Spay, Neuter, Vaccination, and Microchip Services
Our mobile veterinary clinic allows us to offer low-cost pet health care in remote areas with high poverty levels. That’s where pets need us most.
Donations to PAIR help keep the wheels turning. This year they also will pay to get our organization name and contact info on the bus so we can get the word out when we drive through different towns.
